Powerflex is leader in shock and
vibration isolation of mechanical components making
both specific cable dampers and isolating frames.
It is capable to assist its customers for identifying
and analysing every kind of structural dynamic event,
offering the most effective service of consultancy
in this sector.
Powerflex’s know-how is based
on its thirty years experience in the field of dynamic
isolation, taking advantage by its engineering service
in collaboration with several departments of the
Faculty of Engineering of the University of Naples.
The construction is made in its new factory, built
last year, using specific tools for wire cable mounts
and computer aided machines. Production avails also
of the cooperation of the computerized mechanical
machining of external firms.
The first use of wire cable for the production of
antishocks and vibrations damping system dates back
to the decade between 1950 and 1960; the wire cable
was used in the same period at N.A.S.A. in airspace
experiments. In the following years, new techniques
were improved in order to exploit the wire cable
damping main capabilities, with the co-operation
of the Navy.
The achieved results allowed, beside further researching
in the military field, also the use of portable
electrical equipment.
In the 1996 Powerflex bought the
35 years known-how and production hi-tech of “DSE
srl” company (ex “Cavoflex srl”)
wich patented this products in Europe in the 1969.
